Michael's Childish World

Children show me in their playful smiles the divine in everyone. This simple goodness shines straight from their hearts. This has so much to teach. If a child wants a chocolate ice cream, he just asks for. Adults get tangled up in complications over whether to eat the ice cream or not. A child simlpy enjoys.

What we need to learn from children isn't childish. Being with them connects us to the deep wisdom of life, which is every present and only asks to be lived. Now, when the world is so confused and its problems so complicated, I feel we need our children more than ever. Their natural wisdom points the way to solutions that lie, waiting to be recognized, within our own hearts.

~CHILDHOOD~
Written and composed by Michael Jackson
Taken from the HIStory album

Have you seen my childhood ?
I'm searching for the world that I come from
'Cause I've been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart...
No one understands me
They view me as such strange
eccentricities
'Cause I keep kiding around
Like a child, but pardon me...

People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things
It's been my fate to compensate,
For the childhood
I've never known

Have you seen my childhood ?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates and adventurous dreams
Of conquest and kings on the throne...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look withing your heart then ask,
Have you seen my childhood?

People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things
It's been my fate to compensate
For the childhood I've never known...

Have you seen my childhood ?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly

Before you judge me, try hard to love me
The painful youth I've had

Have you seen my childhood...
