The Jackson Family Tree

Many years ago God planted a special seed in the earth. The seed was

put there to be cultivated, nourished and cared for very carefully.

It began to germinate into a strong root and then a beautiful tree.

Its roots were very busy feeding from the earth so that the tree would

continue to grow very strong and proud on a solid foundation. As years

went by, the tree began to sprout many branches. The branches were

very strong individually and collectively and were always accompa-

nied by hummingbirds, larks and other types of singing birds. Even

though the branches were pointing in many different directions, they

knew that if they stayed together the tree could weather any storms

that were ahead. The tree was so beautiful to look at and everyone who

saw it wanted to take a branch or two for their own satisfaction, but

the root system always believed, "United we stand, divided we fall but

together we can conquer all."

Today this tree is now planted in the minds of human beings all over

the world. No matter how the branches may grow in life, it all

started from a seed that was planted at 2300 Jackson Street in Gary,

Indiana. The root of the tree is Katherine and Joseph Jackson who

gave the tree life, direction and a strong foundation so that the whole

world could appreciate its beauty and what it stands for.

IMAGINE

Imagine being born in a land that is blessed with an

abundance of wealth.

Imagine a sytem of people coming in and telling

you what you are and what you are not, and what

was yours and is now theirs, and robbing all

the natural resources of the land.

Imagine being told when you could walk the

streets and where to go, or taken from your family

to become a slave for them, but never being able

to voice an opinion because all your rights and

liberties are taken away from you.

Imagine being told you're an animal, and then

treated like one, now all the good in you become

bad, what was gentle becomes now brutal. All your hope

becomes hopeless, and your tolerance doesn't

exist anymore. So you react with great anger,

trying to keep your compulsion, but it's hard when

you've been crippled in every aspect of life and then

critisized for the way you act. If you treat a human

like an animal, he or she will act like one.

Now open your eyes and mind and say to yourself

could this really happen? Yes, I know of a place.

A Thought of The Mind

You ask me a question You know the answer

I tell you I'm hungry You say I know

someone else who's not eating I tell you

my needs You say what for I say I hurt

You say so what I have to adjust to you

But you don't want me to All I have is

hope that one day you will look into my

eyes and see that we're both a product of

the same father...The world as is

Words of Wisdom

It came to me one morning

Visions of the world

And what could happen

Then I read the paper

Problem after problem

I wasn't dreamin

Yet we say it's progress

That's why we never bother

We go on living

What am I supposed to do

I'm one in a billion faces

The way the world paints its picture

The problem you could never tell

The truth is hidden in the colors

Our eyes are blinded so well

There used to be a time when we could walk the streets at nite

And never worry the very one you're fearing would you believe

You're supposed to call hime brother

But the way they run, the world, the ones

That don't have anything - They take it

We're just going round in circles

Our minds programmed along the way

We don't have any reason for living

The truth lies deeper than what they say

Our minds programmed along the way

I'd like to know just what they can

Find, going to the moon

Babies born to starve they say it's not enough food

It came to me one morning visions

Of the world, such sade faces

Epidemics sweeping the world today

Like crazy they have no answer

Every sunday morning the pasto gives

A sermon - It's never heard

It's still undone

The world is still undone

PLEDGE

We are a nation with no

geographical boundaries,

bound together trough our

beliefs. We are like-minded individuals,

sharing a common vision, pushing toward

a world rid of color-lines

THE DANCE

Consciousness expresses itself through creation. This world we live in is the dance

of the creator. Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives

on. On many an occasion when I am dancing, I have felt touched by something sacred.

In those moments, I felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists.

I become the stars and the moon. I become the lover and the beloved. I become the

victor and the vanquished. I become the master and the slave. I become the singer and

the song. I become the knower and the known. I keep on dancing then it is the eternal

dance or creation. The creator and creation merge into one wholeness of joy.

I keep on dancing...and dancing...and dancing. Until there is only...the dance.

Planet Earth

Planet Earth, my home, my place

a capricious anomaly in the sea of space

Planet Earth are you just

floating by, a cloud of dust

a minor globe, about to bust

a piece of metal bound to rust

a speck of matter in a mindless void

a lonely spaceship, a large asteroid

Cold as a rock without a hue

held together with a bit of glue

something tells me this isn't true

you are my sweetheart soft and blue

Do you care, have you a part

in the deepest emotions of my own heart

tender with breezes caressing and whole

alive with music, haunting my soul.

In my veins I've felt the mystery

of corridors of time, books of history

like songs of ages throbbing in my blood

have danced the rhythm of the tide and flood

your misty clouds, your electric storm

were turbulent tempests in my own form

I've licked the salt, the bitter, the sweet

of every encounter, of passion, of heat

your riotous color, your fragrance, your taste

have thrilled my senses beyond all haste

in your beauty, I've known the how

of timeless bliss, this moment of now

Planet Earth are you just

floating by, a cloud of dust

a minor globe about to bust

a piece of metal bound to rust

a speck of matter, in a mindless void

a lonely spaceship, a large asteroid

cold as a rock without a hue

held together with a bit of glue

something tells me this isn't true

you are my sweetheart gentle and blue

do you care, have you a part

in the deepest emotions of my own heart

tender with breezes caressing and whole

alive with music, haunting my soul

Planet Earth, gentle and blue

with all my heart, I love you.
