Being at home is fun, too. The guys, who play softball, make sure to play regularly, while not leaving out their love for video games. They live with their dad, Tito, the guitar player who reached fame as one of the members of the Jackson Five. "We have learned a lot from our dad," 3T chime. "He has given us a lot of guidance since he has been in the business for so many years. Since he's been in our shoes, he knows what to look out for".
3T often get advice from other members of the famed Jackson clan, including Janet, who loves her nephews that she often invites them to travel with her. Politely calling the pop superprincess "Aunt Janet", 3T credit her as being one of their biggest inspirations. "She has always worked hard, and we have tried to do the same. Ever since we were little we have sat on the side of the stage watching our Uncle Michael and Aunt Janet work. By the time we go on a big tour, we will have the experience necessary to please our audiences as well."
All members of the group appear quiet and shy, but round each other, they're best friends who know each others' thoughts without uttering a word. THe hidden language they speak reminds us of the way twins are raised. It's been that way since birth. Even though the eldest, Taj, is 22, Tito Joe is 17, and Tarryl, is 20, through the urging of their late mother, Delores Jackson, the three have been raised more as triplets. Often sharing other's belongings and musical equipment, the transition to professional entertainers was a gradual, but natural evolution. "We've always had equipment, and we've always spent our time practicing rather than hanging out with a lot of people. We never got involved with the negative elements of life; we were never curious about that."
The trio sorely miss their mother who mysteriously died nearly two years ago. Efforts to actively pursue the investigation into Mrs Jackson's death have recently increased. According to published reports, Dee Dee, who was launched in the spotlight by becoming the first young lady to marry one of the Jackson Five members, was drowned in a swimming pool. Evidence points to deadly assault, in light of the revelation of her receiving 52 blows to the head. As a result, 3T's dad, Tito, hired an attorney to pursue a lawsuit against the companion who allegedly was at the scene of the accident.
Throughout the legal tumoilt it has been difficult for 3T to carry on with their career, however, with moral support of their friends, they have been able to persevere. "We're doing what our mother wanted us to do", 3T matter-of-factly. "She was our manager, and she really wanted us to succeed. She had heard some of the songs we had recorded for the album, and she loved them."
They credit their mom for giving them the most normal childhood possible - filled with sports, birthday parties and outings. By being so well grounded, the 3T's will be more than a tease - they're here to stay in ever-so-competitive music industry.
