"We are behaving like people without compassion and love for the most vulnerable section of society. The children of the universe are without a spokesperson, they are voiceless...We are all touched by the atrocities committed against children: sexual, physical abuse, child slave labor, educational neglect. We feel ashamed. Angry. Appalled. But there is no action....No action."

South Africa, May 1998
Michael Jackson held a charity concert in Seoul, South Korea. The aim of this concert was to help raise funds for children in Kosovo, Africa and elsewhere.
The concert called "Michael Jackson & Friends - What More Can I Give?" took place in the Olympic stadium in Seoul on June 25, 1999.
"I've wanted to help these suffering children for a very, very long time...These innocent children are in such pain because of the greed and political disagreement of us adults...To help these children is not charity. It is our duty.''
Among the special guests were actress Elizabeth Taylor, guitarist Slash and performances by Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, and Boyz II Men, International pop artists such as Russia's Alla Pugatchova, and Philip Kirkorow, Scorpions, and Roxette, and many more artists.
Michael said that the proceeds from the concerts in Seoul and Munich would be dispersed through the International Committee of the Red Cross, Nelson Mandela's Children's Fund, and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Janet's an American Promise commitment maker, along with MTV which recently launched a national Public Service Advertising campaign featuring her. Encouraging concert goers to become more active in mentoring young children, Janet announced that the proceeds of the tour would go to supporting America's Promise (visit the website at www.americaspromise.org), a nonprofit organization which provides guidance and mentoring for at risk youths. The campaign is aimed at increasing the number of mentors and caring adults for young people throughout the United States. The PSA concludes by asking viewers interested in mentoring a child to call America's Promise at 1 (888) 55-YOUTH.

In May 1999, Michael started a new project with artists Celine Dion, Luciano Pavarotti, Liz Taylor, Paul Simon and Bob Geldoff to come in help to worldwide suffering children and people :
"On October 11, I am very excited to be organizing and performing the first of what I
hope to be a series of concert appearances to benefit the World Peace Foundation for
Children.
In 1985, I joined with many others in the music industry to create "We Are The
World," a song which led to the USA For Africa concert. That event brought millions
of dollars in aid to hungry families and children throughout Africa and the United
States.
Following that experience, it was my dream to create a worldwide series of concerts
which would raise funds to bring aid to suffering people around the globe. Today, with
the help of many friends, we are taking the first step towards realizing that dream.
I am delighted to be working with my good friends Luciano Pavarotti and Elizabeth
Taylor to perform the first of these concerts at Chamsil Stadium in Korea, a country I
have grown to love very, very much. We are also working on plans to have a special
performance in the de-militarized zone which separates North and South Korea.
Elizabeth Taylor has supported this endeavor since its inception and I'm very excited
that she will join me at this very important event. It is my sincere hope that through my
efforts, and through the support of Cheil Communications and the Korea Peace
Foundation for Children, we can bring an end to famine in this troubled part of the
world.
In the years ahead, it is my intention to create similar events which will bring together
musicians from around the world to raise additional funds for the World Peace
Foundation for Children.
Thank you very much. "

As you may know our concern about the Sick especially the children is very important at MTFFC. We would like everybody to contribute in helping AmFAR (The American Foundation for AIDS Research), the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of AIDS research (both basic biomedical and clinical research), AIDS prevention, and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy. Janet has given crucial funds to ongoing the aids research and pledged a portion of the proceeds of "Together Again" single. Check more information about it in The Knowledge site.
Let's fight together AIDS, ignorance and prejudice.
